Veneer is the application of a very thin layer of porcelain or Belle Glass applied to the outer surface of the teeth and is usually done for cosmetic reasons to alter the colour or shape of the teeth or in some cases to close a gap between two teeth. First the teeth are prepared by removing the outer tissue and then the veneer is applied directly to the teeth and fixed with a specific adhesive.
